Using my crocheted flowers

Well, I just started using my crocheted flowers that I wrote a post about last month.  I can't stop making them.  It keeps my hands busy at night, so I don't attack the fridge. Does anyone else have this problem?

I listed the flowers in my etsy shop.  Is anyone interest in these finished products?  For now I have them in my booth at an Antique Mall.

New Find in New Jersey

I just returned from a trip visiting my family in New Jersey.  While there of course I had to do a little treasure hunting.  Well, I happened upon a wonderful antique store in Cherry Hill.  If you are ever in that area of New Jersey, it is well worth the stop.  The name of the shop is Among Other Things, 2409 Church Road, Cherry Hill, NJ  08002  (856-667-6686)  I met the owner of the shop, Cheryl, while I was there and we had a wonderful chat.  Here are some pictures of the shop.

For a friend

I just finished this tray for a friend.  She'll be using it for a dinner party on Saturday night.

I think it looks good holding jewelry too.

I started a new series of mosaics and combined it with mini collages.  I'd like to share the finished pieces

Cape Cod again

I recently returned from spending a wonderful week on Cape Cod.  I've mentioned in a previous entry that this is a very special place to me.  When my children were younger we spent the whole summer there.  What wonderful memories.  

I was able to catch up with my girlfriends there.  We did a lot of treasure hunting at stores, the flea market and thrift shops.  One of our first stops was a delightful store called Yummy Goods.  We met the lovely owner, Melissa, and had a nice chat with her.  If you get to the Cape this store is a must.  Check out her blog. Sorry I don't have any pictures of this adorable shop, but I didn't have my camera with me.

 

Another must see is Tumbleweed Quilts.  Tons of gorgeous fabric.  We went shopping in their fabric pool and turned this

This shop on Route 6a in Dennis was such eye candy.  We met the very lovely Lizzie.  Check out her blog.  Here are some pictures of the store.

I bought some of her beautiful fabric and trims.  When I make it into something I will post pictures.

Of course the flea market and thrift stores were good to me.  Here are some of my finds.

But best of all was spending time with my friends.  I'll be back next summer.

Sewing box treasures
